Hi dear English and International readers,
I know you’re there and have been there from the beginning! You’ve been browsing through my blog, encouraging me, looking at my pictures, perhaps resorting to Google Translate to understand the bare minimum of what I’m saying and hoping that a dang English version will finally be put online! I know. And thank you for bearing with me! It will come; it is only a matter of time! So the reason I’m trying to write in English today is because I wanted to tell you some very good news, and I didn’t want Google Translate to make a mess of it!
I’ve always been bad at announcements, so here it goes: I am working on a book! AHAHAHAHAHHHAHHA (I actually just shouted in real life and not just on your computer screen!)
My book. Ours, actually. It will be yours, for you: I have had my mind made up a long time ago.
I have been working on this book (MINE!) for several months now, and it is both exciting and scary. And obviously a ton of work. To be really honest, it’s not the first offer that I have gotten, but I really wanted to wait for the right moment. The right project. The right people.
A million question have been popping in my head in the last months: “How can I make my book different? “, “How to make it truly ME? “, ” Will my readers like it? ” … but I ‘m surely not the first or last person working on a book that has been challenged with all of these questions!
So I’ve decided to do the best that I could and stay true to myself … like on this blog!
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to blog for the next few months. THE BOOK, my work and life will be keeping me very busy! I’ll try to pop in from time to time though, to share a recipe with you, blow a kiss or simply let you know that I am still alive!
In the meantime, I will keep on sharing my recipes in La Presse (like this persimmon and coconut lassi!) –my column is on Thursdays and Saturdays if you want to practice your French ;)- and will continue sharing news on my facebook and twitter pages!
If I had not decided one day to create this blog, I surely wouldn’t be writing, cooking and taking photos for a book. Without you, really, nothing would have been possible.

Ps. I forgot to say: my book will be published in Fall 2014 by La Presse publishing house… the same major house that publishes the cookbook that I have used the most in my life (can you feel the level of pressure?) Who would have thought that, when I cooked these arancini? Surely not me…
